We are proud to offer our 5-star rated Yoga Alliance 200-Hour teacher training program that merges principles of traditional Hatha Yoga techniques and philosophy with Tibetan Buddhist conceptsIt is not only for those who aspire to be tomorrow’s great yoga teachers, but for those who aspire to deepen their knowledge and learn the what, how, and why of Hatha Yoga beyond the physical practice, and those who aspire to lead happy, balanced and integrated lives.

IN THIS DYNAMIC PROGRAM WE’LL STUDY:

Yoga Asana

Teaching Methodology and Practicum: Develop and practice teaching skills

Intelligent and thoughtful sequencing

Hands-on assists

Clear and sophisticated verbal technique for instruction

Modifications for prenatal students

Pranayama: Breathing techniques for asana and balance

Embodied anatomy specific to yoga practice

Subtle Body anatomy including Chakras, Nadis and Prana

Yoga philosophy and Buddhist philosophy, and how they work together

Sanskrit for chanting mantra and teaching asana

“The Hatha Yoga Pradipika” translation by the Bihar School

“Eastern Body Western Mind” by Anodea Judith

HOW TO PREPARE:
Practice Yoga!

REQUIREMENTS DURING TEACHER TRAINING:
Take 20 classes at Republic of Yoga (included with tuition). Meditate for 5 minutes daily (minimum). Maintain a personal meditation journal. Observe 2 classes at Republic of Yoga.

During these unprecedented times, the schedule may be subject to change. With this in mind, we are planning to meet one weekend a month the course will meet in-studio on the following weekends in 2021, and on Wednesday evenings for virtual sessions:

Wednesdays: 6:30-8:30PM (VIRTUAL)

 

Fridays: 6:30pm-8:30pm 
Saturdays: 9:00am-1:00pm & 2:00pm-6:00pm 
Sundays: 9:00am-1:00pm & 2:00pm-5:00pm
