I’m not very good at yoga. Can I take the training program?

Yes! One of the best ways to get “good” at yoga, is to learn the ‘what,’ ‘how’ and ‘why’ of Hatha Yoga. Being “good” at yoga does not mean that you have a perfect headstand! With a clear understanding of how yoga works, the fundamentals of yoga asana and philosophy, you will advance your own practice, and be empowered to share this knowledge with others.

I’ve only been practicing for a short time. Can I take the training?

Yes! If you’re hungry for the information, regardless of how long you’ve been practicing, you’re ready. Some of the best teachers took a teacher training very early into their practice. If you have a strong commitment and a sincere desire to learn, and are eager to absorb the material, you are a great candidate.

I don’t want to be a yoga teacher. Should I still take the training?

Do you want to learn more about yoga? Track I gives you the option to take the training exclusively for the information and the development of your own practice and skills. For many, this will be the beginning of a life-changing course of events. Your asana practice will improve dramatically, and by the end of the training, you may just want to share some of this information with others – you can decide if you want to add Track II!

Do I have to be there for the entire training?

For the sake of continuity, you are strongly discouraged from missing any part of the course. Missed sessions must be made up to receive a teaching certificate (Track I & II) from Republic of Yoga.

How do I make up for missed lectures/sessions?

Wednesday night Zoom sessions will be recorded and made available to you for the duration of the training.  For in-person sessions, depending on the content and length of the missed material, a make-up session during the time frame of the current course schedule may be arranged, at an additional cost of $100/hour.

How do I register?

Fill out an application online, or submit it at the studio.  Your $300 deposit secures a spot in the program and is non-refundable & non-transferable (it will be returned if your application is not accepted) or you may pay in full once your application is accepted.

What is the refund policy for the training programs?

The full cost of the Program is non-refundable and non-transferable if your participation is cancelled within 30 days of the start of the Program or once the Program has commenced.
